The Hornell Intermediate School houses approximately 500 students in grades 2-6. The district is committed to providing a high quality academic program in a positive school environment where staff and students are respected and appreciated.

Students receive top-notch instruction with a variety of interventions to meet all students’ needs. In addition to curricular instruction, the Hornell Intermediate School offers a rolling selection of enrichment clubs, athletic intramurals and award-winning programs in the arts. Our building also houses the district swimming pool, which gives our students the opportunity to learn how to swim during their physical education classes in grades 2-6.

The instrumental music program offers 4th, 5th, and 6th grade band instruction and a competitive drumline. Our vocal music program offers 3rd-6th grade choirs, as well as a school musical each year. The art program helps to fill our school with student art work and periodically offers an Art Show.

The Intermediate School has its own TV station, WRRS, which is student-led and provides new updates weekly. Catch up on the latest news here!
