HHS students earn top spots at mathematics competition

Students in Mary Franklin’s calculus classes participated in the W. Varick Nevins III High School Mathematics Competition at Alfred University. Hornell’s Logan McGregor was awarded a cash prize along with a $6,000 scholarship for his third place in the Senior Division (high school juniors and seniors). Nicolas Gray was awarded a cash prize for his second-place finish in the Junior Division (high school sophomores and younger). 

Of the approximately 150 students competing, six awards were given out.
