Hornell voters approve $44 million budget, elect one board member

On May 21, Hornell City School District residents approved the district’s $44 million budget proposal and elected one board of education member.

Voters approved:

  • A $44,458,794 budget for the 2024-25 school year: 194 yes;  84 no;
  • Expenditure from School Bus Reserve Fund for student transportation vehicles: 235 yes; 42 no;
  • Authorization to establish a Transportation Reserve Fund: 227 yes; 49 no;
  • Authorized the Hornell Public Library budget in the amount of $370,955: 201 yes; 75 no;
  • The election of Meghann Khork to her second five-year term on the Hornell Board of Education to begin on July 1.
