HCSD Students test positive for COVID-19
This weekend the Hornell City School District learned that two students from the High School and one student from North Hornell Elementary School tested positive for COVID-19. There were very few contacts in the high school and several in North Hornell. All contacts were contacted on Saturday or Sunday and quarantined. Today, we learned of one more High School student that tested positive. In this case there were no contacts.
Early in April, the New York State Department of Health released new guidelines for schools. These guidelines are found on our web page or by clicking here.
The Hornell City School District has reviewed these new guidelines and incorporated them into our updated plan. Our plan can be found on our covid-19 web page and by clicking here.
To communicate relevant changes to the plan and to receive feedback, the district will host a webinar at 5:00 pm on Thursday, April 29, 2021.
A link to the webinar can be found here: https://E2CCB-GST.zoom.us/j/93117061473
Questions can be asked using the Q & A function during the webinar or they can be submitted ahead of time by email to the following address: hornell.reopening@hornellcsd.org
We look forward to updating you on our plan and responding to any questions you may have.
